Dune: Awakening: Imperial Testing Stations - Environment Art

I had the pleasure of working on the Dune Awakening game for the past four years as a Senior Environment Artist.

My responsibilities included working directly in Unreal Engine to ensure that the level environments met both visual and performance requirements, while also collaborating and communicating closely with various departments throughout development. These levels are, of course, the result of a team effort involving many talented individuals. I worked closely with multiple teams that did an excellent job, including the Level Design, Lighting and Material teams, 3D Art, Concept Art, and VFX teams, to name a few.

• I was part of the team responsible for the initial visual exploration and layout planning for the Imperial Testing Stations environment. Also, for these specific rooms which I showcased here, I established their structure and design, so they could be later used across various scenarios in multiple Imperial Testing Stations.

• Another part of my role involved setting up different foliage assets (trees and plants) in Unreal Engine, making sure everything followed project standards so other artists could easily use them during level set dressing.

• And lastly, one of my key contributions was the design and modeling of modular kit assets, which were used as the core building blocks for the testing station environments.

A special shout-out to my talented Environment artist colleagues Raphaël Thiessard and Ignacio Naranjo Ruiz, who collaborated with me on creating this modular kit and later on continued to work on the set dressing of these Imperial Testing Station levels.
